Obituary of Louis H. Kampa. "FOLEY - Louis H. Kampa, 73, 111 Broadway Ave., died today at St. Cloud Hospital.
"Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at St. John's Catholic Church. The Rev. Alfred Heltemes will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery with military rites provided by Foley American Legion Post.
"Friends may call after 4 p.m. Friday at Foley Funeral Home. Parish prayers will be at 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home in Foley.
"Louis Kampa was born March 22, 1918 to Thomas and Amelia (Balder) Kampa. He married Mae Emig March 5, 1943, in Colorado Springs, Colo., and lived in Foley where he was employed as a carpenter. He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army and member of Foley American Legion Post.
"Survivors include his wife; daughters and sons, Mrs. Tom (Lou) DeMarais, Mrs. Jack (Pat) Abfalter, Gary and Tim, Foley; Mrs. Brandon (Sherri) Fouquette, Clear Lake; sisters and brothers, Mrs. Esther Anderson, Tracy; Mrs. Laura Brennan, St. Cloud; Mrs. Lucille Tischbirek, Sauk Rapids; Ervin, Foley; Vernon, Maple Grove; Carroll, Minneapolis; 14 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
"He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters and brother, Loretta Bolagek, Dorothy Macho, Mabel Stotesberg and Felix.
"Pallbearers will be grandsons, Scott, Randy and Kevin DeMarais, Jason Abfalter, Tom Dombrovski, and Tim Lund."
