Notes: Leon and his twin brother Henry E. were born on June 15, 1907 in Somers, Tolland, Connecticut.
 
At the time of the April 29, 1910 census, Leon was 2-10/12 years old and living with his parents and six siblings in Somers, Tolland, Connecticut.
 
At the time of his enlistment in the U.S. Army in 1941, Leon was living in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and working as a script writer.
 
On May 20, 1947, Leon A. departed Johnson Island and arrived at the Honolulu Airport en route to San Francisco. He was married and working as a mechanic at the time. The Passenger Manifest and Cabin Weight Report stated that he weighed 155 pounds and had two pieces of baggage with a combined weight of 75 pounds on the flight. His address was listed as c/o General Delivery, Cottonwood, Yavapai, Arizona.
 
Later in life he lived in Crescent City, Del Norte County, California 95531. Leon died in Josephine County, Oregon the day after Christmas, 1975.
