Katherine was a resident of Clear Lake and Clearwater, Minnesota for nearly 50 years.

At the time of the 1900 U.S. Federal Census, Kate was living with her husband John, their family and ten boarders.

At the time of the April 16, 1910 U.S. Federal Census, Kate was 44 years old and living with her husband John and their five children in Clear Lake, Sherburne County, Minnesota. John was the proprietor of a livery stable, and he and Kate had been married 24 years. She was the mother of ten children, all of whom were still living. Kate died suddenly and unexpectedly of a ruptured gall bladder at her home in Clear Lake. She was 68 years old.
