MRS. KANE, PRYOR, DIES


Mrs. Elsie M. Kane, 71, Pryor, died en route to a Billings hospital Tuesday morning of a coronary thrombosis.

She was born May 1, 1890, in St. Cloud, Minn., a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Balder.

She married James P. Kane, Jan. 29, 1907 in St. Cloud, Minn.

The Kanes Lived in St. Cloud till 1913, when they moved to Edgar.

They left Edgar in 1936, and went to Pryor, where she has lived since.

Mrs. Kane was a member of the St. Charles Mission Catholic parish in Pryor.

Surviving are her widower, James P. Kane of Pryor; four daughters, Mrs. James Schumm of Edgar, Mrs. Ray Schumm of Gardiner, Mrs. Frank Zelanka of Fromberg and Mrs. Howard Carter of Nye; two sons, James E. Kane and Jack L. Kane, both of Pryor; two sisters, Mrs. Frank Brambrink of St. Cloud, Minn., and Mrs. Adelaide Laughery of 619 North 24 St.; four brothers, Ellsworth Balder of Foley, Minn., Frank Balder of St. Cloud, Otto Balder of Hillman, Minn., and Reuben Balder of Harrah, Wash.; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Requiem Mass will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. in St. Charles Mission Church in Pryor. Rosary will be recited Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at the Settergren-Carey Chapel.

Burial will be in Rockvale Cemetery.
