"Services will be held for Anita M. (Stimmler) Baffa,
93, of Somers Point, NJ, who died on Wednesday, February 1, 2006 at Regina Nursing
Center in Norristown, PA. She is survived by her husband of 74 years,
Richard.
"She was born in the Roxborough section of
Philadelphia on October 26, 1912 to the late Joseph
and Anna M. (Hennessey) Stimmler. She was
the wife of Richard Baffa for 74 years.
"For many years, Anita and Richard owned
and operated Baffa's Hair Salon in Roxborough. She was a graduate of St. John the
Baptist High School in Manayunk section of Philadelphia. Anita was a member of
St. Joseph Church in Somers Point, NJ, and was a former member of St. Helena's
Church in Blue Bell, PA where she was very active in the Women's Club.
"She had been a member of the Senior
Citizens of St. Titus Church and was an active member of St. Teresa of Avila
Parish in Valley Forge for 17 years. Anita loved to travel with her husband and
children, especially to the casinos in Atlantic City, and motoring to New York City
to see the Broadway shows.
"Besides her husband, she is survived by
three children: Richard Baffa (Margaret) of Hawley and Venice, FL,
Rev. Robert Baffa of Somers Point, NJ, Mary Anita Metacarpa (Joseph)
of Somers Point, NJ; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was
preceded in death by her siblings, a grandchild Lynda McKernan, and a
great-grandchild Aiden Odell.
"Relatives and friends are invited to her
Funeral Mass celebrated by her son Rev. Robert Baffa on Monday, February 6, 2006
at the Regina Nursing Center, 550 E. Fornance St., Norristown, PA 19401.
The family will receive guests at Regina from 9:30 am, Monday. There will be no
viewing. Interment will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Cheltenham.
