At the time of the April 5, 1930 census, William was 2 years and 4/12 months old and living with his parents and seven siblings on their own farm in St. George Township, MN. The family did not own a radio. His father was working as a farmer in general farming.
 
William lived his entire life in the Duelm area. He worked as a heavy equipment operator until his retirement. He was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War. William was an Honorary Life Member of the Foley Knights of Columbus Bishop Marty Council #3603, Glendorado VFW Post #806, and St. Lawrence Catholic Church.

William died on July 31, 2003 in Foley, Benton, Minnesota. He was 75 years old.
