Notes: At the time of the Apr. 17, 1940 U.S. federal census, Richard was 7 years old and living with his parents, younger
  brother Robert (age 3), his maternal grandparents, Joseph (age 72) and Anna Stimmler (age 69), and his bachelor uncle Valentine (age 34) at 323 Roxborough Ave. in the 21st Ward of Philadelphia City. They had been living in the same place on Apr. 1, 1935. His father was working 50 hours a week, 52 weeks a year as a hairdresser in a beauty operation. His father had completed 9th grade and mother had three years of high school.

Dick and Margaret lived in Hawley, Pennsylvania and Venice, Florida. He was an avid musician, and was formerly employed by Wantagh School District as a Music Teacher and Administrator for 35 years until his retirement in 1991. Dick took music very seriously and was very exacting. He was both personable with a great sense of humor, and a highly organized, strict disciplinarian at the same time. He was a member of Queen of Peace Church in Hawley, Pennsylvania.

Dick died on Wednesday, November 28, 2006, at 11 a.m. at the home of his daughter Gina in Landenberg, Pennsylvania of complications from cancer. He was 74 years old. His funeral was held on Friday, December 1 at the Regina Nursing Center in Norristown, Pennsylvania. Dick will be buried next to his mother at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Cheltenham.
