"HILLMAN, Minn. -- Requiem mass for
Reuben Balder, 73, Hillman, retired blacksmith, formerly
of Billings, was celebrated Oct. 8 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Minden, Minn.
"Burial was in the parish cemetery.
"Mr. Balder, who died Oct. 3 in a Little Falls,
Minn. hospital, was born Oct. 13, 1892 in Minden Township. A Billings resident for about
20 years, he worked at the Blue Front Blacksmith Shop. He moved to Hillman from Harrak, Wash.
about 1-1/2 years ago.
"He was a member of Eagles Lodge, Topenist, Wash. and
Holy Family Church, Hillman.
"Survivors include the widow, Stella; a son,
Bernard of Beatty, Nev.; a daughter, Mrs. Everett Dixson of Cody, Wyo.; a brother, Otto
of Hillman; and two sisters, Mrs. Adelaide Laughery of 619 N. 24th St.,
Billings and Mrs. Joseph Brambrink of St. Cloud, Minn."
