1853-----Ben Meyer started a brewery
1855-----sold it to Martin Bachhuber
1868-----sold to John Henninger
1869-----sold to E. Bacchuber
1870-----sold to Leonard Uhl
1874-----sold to Matthias Ziegler who operated it until 1920
There were other breweries in Mayville:
One owned by Wm Darge, 1870-1880
Funke Bros., 1870-1880
B. Kladen--operated in the 1870's
Kroesing Co.--operated in the mid 1870's
John Steger & Co.--1880-1920
