In the 1880 federal census, Mary was 18 years old and living with her parents and 7 siblings (John A., Daniel J., James U., Alice M., Magdalena J., Frederick C. and George E.) in Jackson, Lebanon County, Pennsylvania [Source: NA Film No. T9-1145, p. 137A].
 
At the time of the June 4, 1900 U.S. Federal Census, M. C. was 38 years old and living with her husband B. W. and their four children at 3237 Cedar Avenue, Minneapolis, Hennepin, Minnesota. She stated that she was the mother of seven children of whom four were still living [Source: 1900 U.S. Federal Census, Minnesota, Hennepin, Minneapolis Ward 7, Dist. 80, E.D. 80, Roll T623_768, p. 12A].
 
At the time of the April 16, 1910 U.S. Federal Census Mary C. was 48 years old and living with her husband Blucher W. and their seven children at 3237 Cedar Avenue, Minneapolis, Hennepin, Minnesota. She stated she was the mother of nine children, of whom seven were still living [Source: U.S. Federal Census, Roll T624_703, Part 2, Minneapolis Ward 7, Dist. 129, p. 46A].
 
In the April 4, 1930 federal census, Mary was 68 years old and living with her husband Blucher, sons Cecil J. and Paul S. and his family in Blucher's and Mary's home at 3237 Cedar Ave. S. in Minneapolis. Their home was valued at $7,000 (approx. $70,000 in 2001 dollars); son Paul, his wife Edna and their children Shirley and Richard rented part of the house from them for $50 a month. Mary stated that she and Blucher were married when he was 22 and she was 23 years old. She said she was born in Pennsylvania, her father was born in Minnesota and her mother in Pennsylvania. The family had a 19-year-old maid named Valborg Ellickson.
 
Mary was a housewife for 45 years and last worked at this occupation on December 25, 1932. She passed away at her home at 5:40 PM on November 18, 1937 at the age of 75.
