Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 23, 2010 at St. Marcus Catholic Church in
Clear Lake, for Marcella M. Berger who died on Saturday evening at
St. Benedict’s Senior Community in St. Cloud. Rev. Virgil Helmin will officiate and burial will
be in the parish cemetery. Friends and relatives may call from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, December 22nd at
Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, Clear Lake and also after 9:30 a.m. on Thursday at the church in Clear
Lake. Parish prayers will be at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Marcella was born to the late John and Elizabeth (Imholte) Bender in Clear Lake. She married Emil Berger on May 16, 1933. Marcella was a housewife and farmer. She was a member of St. Marcus Church and a gold member of Christian Mothers. Marcella enjoyed gardening, crocheting and canning.
Marcella is survived by her children, Ralph (Marion) Berger of Rice and Luella (David) Schuette of Clear Lake; sister, Ruth Stimmler of Minneapolis; 7 grandchildren and 1 step-grandchild; 16 great-grandchildren and 3 step-great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Emil in 1981; brothers, Cletus, Evan and Eugene; twin sister, Mercedes; and grandchild, Joan.
