"Funeral services for John Haaf,
91, formerly of Clear Lake, will be held Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. in the St. Marcus church on Clear Lake
with burial in the church cemetery. The body is at the Dingmann funeral home at Clear Lake.
"Mr. Haaf was born in Lancaster, N.Y., November 9, 1851, and came
to Chaska at the age of 29. He was married to Catherine Kafman and moved to Clear Lake where he engaged in
farming and later entered the hotel and livery business.
"His wife died in 1924 and he has resided at the St. Joseph's home the
last 10 years.
"Surviving are the following children: Mrs. Charles Heydman,
Red Wing; Mrs. Mary Hoffman, Robinsdale; Mrs. Ed Flannigan, Hollywood, Calif.;
Mrs. Rose Radican, Minneapolis; Charles Haaf, Clear Lake; Gilbert Haaf, Minneapolis;
Philip Haaf, Cleveland, Ohio; and George Haaf, Hollywood, Calif. There are 28 grandchildren and
10 great grandchildren."
