A graduate of the University of Minnesota, she was a hospital dietitian in St. Louis and later studied economics and became a CPA. Dorothy married Dr. William L. Hauptmann on Valentine's Day, February 14, 1953, in Ft. Lauderdale, Broward, Florida, when he was 24 and she was 26 years old. In 1956 when she was 30 years old she was living with her husband in Royal Oak, Oakland, Michigan. She lived in Ballwin, Missouri, in 1995. A graduate of the University of Minnesota, she was a hospital dietitian in St. Louis and later studied economics and became a CPA. Dorothy was in a nursing home due to a leg fracture. She passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at the age of 88. She gifted her body to SLU School of Medicine. Dorothy was survived by her eight children; they include four medical doctors, and one retarded daughter. |
