in Minnesota, as was their father. Their mother was born in

At the time of the Apr. 6, 1940 U.S. federal census, Bonita was 16 years old and living with her parents and three younger siblings ranging in age from 8 to 14 years old on a rented farm on State Street in Clear Lake, Sherburne, Minnesota. They all had been living in the same house as of Apr. 1, 1935. Her father George was working as a farmer on the farm 50 hours a week, 52 weeks a year. Bonita had completed her second year of high school; sister Joyce had finished 8th grade, brother George had graduated from 5th grade, and brother Richard had completed second grade. Her father had an 8th grade education and mother Anna had completed one year of high school. In the 1942 Minneapolis city directory, Bonnie is listed as a computer operator working at Fullerton Labor Company, and residing with her parents at 909 Fulton. In 1959 Bonnie, Damon and their family were living at 5708 Longfellow Avenue in Minneapolis, Hennepin, Minnesota. Damon was working as a cost accountant. After the death of her husband in March 1991, Bonnie lived in a townhouse in Burnsville, Minnesota and later in Apple Valley. She loved family, friends and traveling. Bonnie died peacefully in her sleep on March 5, 2012 at the age of 88. |
