Undated letter from Ruby Stickney (née Rhoades) to her great-grandchildren, approximately December 1955.

"Dear Rae and Sandy ~
"Have been thinking about you and wondering what Santa Claus brot you. A couple of nites before Christmas I saw Santa Claus. I was in the kitchen and I heard some one in the living room and there he was putting presents under the tree. He was so big and fat with white whiskers and he had on a red suit ~ Said he was getting so tired and he had so many places to go before Christmas Eve. He said he to travel a long way and would be up all nite because there were three little girls whose names were Rae, Sandy and Dana that he had to give things to and that they lived in Washington DC. He had a big pack on his back filled with dollies, doll houses, doggies, stockings new dresses and just about everything. Well anyway I was wondering if it could be you three little girls he was talking about. He was in such a hurry and before I knew it, he said Merry Christmas, Anna and was gone. I know you can't write now but when you get old enough, write me a letter won't you?
"Be good little girls for mama and papa and be good to your baby sister Dana ~
"Loads of love and kisses to you all ~
"Grandma Anna ~"
