parents and three siblings.
At the time of the June 2, 1880 U.S. federal census, Otilla was 19 years old and working as a servant for the Jacob and Fredrica Kern family in Laketown, Carver, Minnesota. At the time of the June 17, 1880 U.S. federal census, Ottilia was 19 years old and living with her parents and two brothers on the family farm in Laketown, Carver, Minnesota. At the time of the 1895 Minnesota state census, Ottilia was 33 years old and living with her husband Gus and their two children in Minnetrista, Hennepin, Minnesota. Gus was working as a clerk in a store. At the time of the June 20, 1900 U.S. federal census, Ottilia was 38 years old and living with her husband Gustaf and their four children in Minnetrista, Hennepin, Minnesota. Living with them was William Peters, a 29-year-old boarder born in Pennsylvania. Her husband was working as a clerk in a store. At the time of the June 26, 1905 Minnesota state census, Ottilia was 43 years old and living with her husband Gustaf and their five children in Minnetrista, Hennepin, Minnesota. Her husband was working as a merchant and their eldest son George was working as a clerk. At the time of the April 18, 1910 U.S. federal census, Ottilia was 48 years old and living with her husband Gustaf and their five children in Minnetrista, Hennepin, Minnesota. Her husband was a merchant in retail general merchandise, and their two eldest children were working in sales at grocery store. At the time of the January 3, 1920 U.S. federal census, Ottilia was 57 years old and living with her husband Gustaf and their two youngest children on Main Street in Saint Bonifacius, Hennepin, Minnesota. Her husband was a retail merchant of a dry goods store. Gustaf died on May 31, 1928 at the age of 69. Ottilia was 75 years old when she died in Carver County, Minnesota on Sept. 23, 1937. |
