| Schimel, Joyce Marie 88, of Minneapolis, MN, formerly of Wayzata, MN, passed away on September 26, 2013. A remembrance service will be held at 1:00 pm on October 1, 2013 at the Augustana Care Center Chapel, 1007 East 14th St., Minneapolis. Rev. Alex Treitler of Augustana will be officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:00 to 1:00 pm prior to the service. A private family burial will take place at Fort Snelling Cemetery.
She was born in Minneapolis, MN on June 26, 1925 to George and Anna Stimmler and graduated from Clear Lake High School. Joyce was married to Fred Schimel for nearly 50 wonderful years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend and will be dearly missed. Preceded in death by her husband Fred; siblings, Bonnie (Damon) Black, Rick Stimmler, and daughter-in-law, Mary Schimel. Survived by her daughter, Linda Schimel; son, Dale (Renee) Schimel; granddaughter, Cassie (John) Mott; grandson, Ryan Schimel; great- granddaughter, Sophie Mott; brother, George Stimmler and other loving relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Augustana Care Center at 1007 East 14th St.in Minneapolis, MN 55404.
