At the time of the June 3, 1905 Minnesota state census, Joseph was 29 years old and living with his wife Pauline and young son Anton A. in Royalton, Morrison, Minnesota.
 
At the time of the Apr. 15, 1910 U.S. Census, Joseph P. was 34 years old and living with his wife Apollonia and their three sons at 10 First Avenue, Bowlus, Morrison, Minnesota. He was working as a laborer on oil jobs.
 
Joseph died Dec. 29, 1944 in Bowlus, Morrison, Minnesota. He was 68 years old.
