In the United States Census for June 17, 1870, Johann was 4 years old and living with his parents and siblings Johann and Bertha in Laketown, Carver County, Minnesota. He died on January 19, 1871 at the age of 4-1/2, just four days after his sister Franciska died of scarlet fever as well. Johann and Franciska are buried at Victoria Cemetery in Victoria, Minnesota, with their grandfather Johann Stimmler who had passed away seven months earlier. |
