In the United States Census for June 17, 1870, Franciska was 2 years old and living with her parents and siblings Johann and Bertha in Laketown, Carver County, Minnesota. She died of scarlet fever less than a month before her third birthday; her brother Johann died of scarlet fever four days later on January 19, 1871. Franciska and Johann were buried at Victoria Cemetery in Victoria, Minnesota, with their grandfather Johann Stimmler who had passed away seven months earlier. |
