| Notes: |
Frances was living in Palmer Township, MN with
her parents and siblings at the time of the 1900 census.
She was one of the local area midwives. Her husband John loved to fiddle and all the children played music. Their farm was next to "Mud Lake" (local name). The Carey family had an adjoining farm. E-mail from Sam Atkinson dated June 20, 2000. In the April 21, 1930 census, Frances was 40 years old and living with her husband John, twelve children and her 88-year-old mother-in-law on their own farm in Palmer Township. The family did not own a radio. She said she was married when she was 17 and John was 25 years old. She stated that she was born in Minnesota and both her parents were born in Germany. At the time of her death Frances was living in Duelm, Minnesota. |
