Notes: At the time of the Jan. 20, 1920 federal census, Evelyn was six months old and living with her parents and
  2-11/12 year old brother Earnest in a rented home in Lake City, Calhoun, Iowa. Her 28-year-old father was working as a locomotive engineer.
 
On Apr. 3, 1930, Evelyn was 10 years old and living with her parents and four siblings in their own home on Olive Street, Lake City, Calhoun, Iowa, worth $1,500. The family owned a radio. Her father was working as an engineer for the steam railroad. He was married to his wife Fern when he was 25 years old and she was 16. All the children were attending school with the exception of the 3-1/2 year old toddler, Joanne.
 
On Apr. 1, 1935, Evelyn was 15 years old and living with her 2-year-old son, Frederick Walner (born in Nebraska), in Omaha, Nebraska.
 
On Apr. 4, 1940, Evelyn said she was 28 years old and the wife of 26-year-old William Hover (born in Missouri) with whom she was living with her 7-year-old son, Frederick Walmer, in a rented apartment at 629 G Street SE in Washington, District of Columbia, District of Columbia. William was working as a machinist in the Navy yard. Five years earlier he had been living in Long Beach, California. Both she and William said they had four years of high school education.
 
William H. Hover and Evelyn A. Moad took out an application for a marriage license on Feb. 24, 1941 in Jackson County, Missouri. Evelyn was living at 4128 First St. in Kansas City, Missouri at the time. They were married on Feb. 28, 1941 in Kansas City, Jackson, Missouri.
 
Evelyn and her sister-in-law Diane Stimler had a friendly relationship and corresponded often over the years.
 
Evelyn died in Sheridan, Yamhill, Oregon on Oct. 7, 1983. She was 64 years old.
