Edward "Hub" A. research development company. Edward Jr. had coronary issues all of his life including open heart surgery in 2006 at the
Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He was an avid motorcycle rider and cyclist who participated in Lance Armstrong
races. Ed used to visit the Abbaye on Philadelphia Riders 2 Wheel Tuesday nights fairly often. He did a lot of track days and, in the opinion of his peers, was a very good rider.
He loved life, hunting, camping and the outdoors, and traveled extensively, having just returned from
Russia at the time of his premature death.
Edward maintained a residence and a post office box in Bloomsburg while he attended Bloomsburg University from 1992 until at least 1995. From 1998 through early 2002 he lived at 1089 Boxwood Lane in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania. Later in 2002 he moved to 118 Sumac Street in Roxborough, the street behind Rochelle Avenue where Paul, Marge, Leo and Mark Stimmler grew up as youngsters. He was still living there when he unexpectedly was involved in a BMW motorcycle crash on the Penllyn Blue Bell Pike in Whitpain, Pennsylvania. The site of the crash was just two houses away from the childhood home of his best friend since the 2nd grade, and where his friend's mother was still living at that time. Edward was treated at the scene by an ambulance and then flown by helicopter to Abington Memorial Hospital where he later died of his injuries. He was 37 years old. |
