Dorothy M. (Bordua) DeVeau, 83, died on April 25, 2010. She was born on
May 5, 1926 in Rockville, she had lived in Ellington for over 41 years. Prior to her retirement, she
worked 40 years for Hamilton Standard (Sunstrand) in Windsor Locks. She leaves her daughter,
Idelle D. Cook of Upper Marlboro, Maryland, her granddaughter Pauline D. Cook and her husband
David, of Lothan, Maryland, her two grandsons, Paul Harell of Washington State and Scott Harell and his
girlfriend Margaret Hall, of Indiana. She also leaves eight great-grandchildren, Brittany, Phillip, Jonathan
and Thomas Cook and Jessica Harell of Washington State; her great-great-grandchildren, Cree Hall,
Brooklyn, and Ailana Harell; and her great-great grandson, Wyatt Sunderland. She also leaves her sister,
Mildred E. Bordua of Rockville; her brother, James Bordua of Texas, and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by two sisters, Anna L. Pfeifer, and Florence Borgerding; and her brother,
Robert Bordua. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family
from 4-7 p.m., Thursday, April 29, 2010 at the Burke-Fortin Funeral Home, 76 Prospect Street, Rockville.
