At the time of the April 18, 1910 U.S. federal census, Anna was
3/12 months old and living with her widowed maternal grandmother Anna Legee,
mother Lillian, and her six aunts and uncle in her grandmother's
home at 67 Spring Street, Rockville, Tolland County, Connecticut [Source: 1910 U.S. Census, Roll T624-143, Part 3, p. 73B]. At the time of the January 9, 1920 federal census, Anna M. was nine years old and living with her mother, step-father and four half-siblings at 67 Spring Street, in Rockville, Tolland county, CT. She was attending school at the time. Her father was working as an assistant machinist in a woolen mill. At the time of the April 15, 1930 federal census, Anna M. was 20 years old and living with her mother, step-father and eight half-siblings at 67 Spring Street, Rockville, Tolland county, CT. Her father was working as a machinist in a woolen mill and she was working warping in a silk mill. Her last residence was Ellington, Tolland, CT. Judi Bordeaux reminisces on her Aunt Anna: "Aunt Anna was married twice and had five children with her first husband, Albert Norkon. Her second husband, Carl Pfeifer, also pre-deceased her. Anna died Mar. 5, 2003 at age 93. Sounds like Anna was Aunt Dot's favorite sister." -- from a March 22, 2004 e-mail to Rae Bordua |
