Delia, and their five children in a home they rented for $5/month in St. George, Benton, Minnesota. The family had been living in a different rented home in Benton County as of Apr. 1, 1935. Casimir was employed as a carpenter for a contractor, working 60 hours a week. Both he and his wife had an 8th grade education. Nine-year-old son Ralph was in the 1st grade, but the other children were too young to attend school.
