Thomas William Greenwood was born to Marsha Frances Durick Greenwood and Raymond James Greenwood Jr. in Brookings, South Dakota on January 9, 1966. He graduated from Jamestown High School in 1984 and the Minneapolis College of Art and Design in 1989 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. Tom has been interested in music since high school, playing guitar and performing with various musical groups. Since college graduation he has lived in numerous places, most notably Minneapolis, Minnesota, New York City, and Portland, Oregon, as he pursued his love of music. Tom presently lives in upstate New York and plays with Jackie-O MF, a collection of musicians from across the nation that assemble periodically to perform. JOMF has completed several tours in the United States and has traveled and performed extensively in northern Europe. In December 2002, they were featured in an article and on the cover of The Wire, a London-based publication of adventures in modern music.
