"CLEAR LAKE, Minn. -- Ralph
B. Dingmann, 61, owner of a funeral home here since 1936 and rural mail carrier
since 1966, died Thursday at the St. Cloud Hospital
"He was born here May 26, 1911,
to the late John and Bertha Dingmann
and married Leola Weis Oct. 17, 1939. He was postmaster and operated a hardware
store from 1936 until 1966. He was in the Army during World War II.
"He was a member of St. Marcus
Church and was lector, usher and minister of communion and served on the Parish
Council of the parish. He was a member of the Bishop Marty Knights of Columbus
Council of Foley, Eagles Club, and of the American Legion of Clear Lake and
was adjutant of the American Legion. He was secretary and treasurer of the Rural
Mail Carriers Association.
"Mr. Dingmann
is survived by his widow; sons and daughters, Mrs. Robert (Trude) Hartmann, Eden
Prairie; Mrs. Stephen (Betty) Nokk, Coon Rapids; Mrs. Karl (Rita) Ander,
Anoka; Daniel and Carol Jean, at home; brothers and sisters, Mrs. Jacob (Mary)
Arnold and Jerome, Clear Lake; Adolph, Los Angeles, Calif.; William, St. Cloud;
Al, Coon Rapids; Paul, Minneapolis; Francis, Kimball; Carl, Fairbault; and
Robert, Grantsburg, Wis. He was preceded in death by two brothers and two
sisters.
"The mass of the resurrection
will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Marcus Church. Concelebrants of the mass will be
the Rev. Wilfred Ihlies, the Rev. Victor Siegler, the Rev. Austin Kinsella
and the Rev. Alfred Stangl. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
"Pallbears will be Bernard Arnold,
Richard, Donald, David and Thomas Dingmann and Jerry Eilers.
"Friends may call at the Dingmann-Arnold
Funeral Home after 3 p.m. Sunday from noon until 9 p.m.
"The Knights of Columbus Council will
have a prayer service at the funeral home at 9 p.m. Saturday. St. Marcus
parish will say the parish prayers at St. Marcus Church at 9 p.m. Sunday."
