Notes: In the April 21, 1930 census, Mayme was 13 years old and living with her parents and 3 siblings on their own farm in Palmer Township. The family did not own a radio.
  She was attending school at the time.
 
At the time of the Apr. 4, 1940 U.S. federal census, "Mary" was 24 years old and living with her 27-year-old husband Philip and their 2-year-old daughter Gloria J. on a farm they rented for $3/month on County Road No 9 North South in Granite Ledge, Benton, Minnesota. As of Apr. 1, 1935 both Philip and Mayme had been living in rural Sherburne County, Minnesota. Her husband was working as a farmer 60 hours a week, 52 weeks a year. The highest grade of education completed by both she and her husband was 7th grade elementary school.
