4 years old and living in St. Cloud, Stearns County with his parents, eight siblings and eight step-siblings. His father John was
working as a farmer and his two elder brothers, John F. and Peter Joseph, were working with their dad on the farm

Enumeration District 114]. On September 12, 1918 Martin was living with his wife Ida and their children at 1619 Seventh St. S., St. Cloud, Stearns, Minnesota. He was 43 years old and working as a teamster for Cold Spring Brewing Company in St. Cloud, Minnesota. Martin was of medium height and build, and had blue eyes and black hair [Source: World War I Draft Registration Cards, 1917-1918, Registration Location: Stearns County, Minnesota; Roll 1682643; Draft Board 1]. At the time of the April 19, 1930 U.S. Federal Census, Martin was 54 years old and living with his wife Ida and their five children in their own home valued at $3,500 located at 1743 Seventh St. South, St. Cloud, Stearns, Minnesota. The family owned a radio. Martin was working as a manager. He stated that he and Ida were married when he was 28 and she was 20 years old. Martin died in St. Cloud, Stearns, Minnesota on January 30, 1970. He was 93 years old. |
