Marsha Ann Sovada was born to Clarence John Sovada and Esther Elsie Reinke Sovada in St. Cloud, Minnesota on May 3, 1954. She graduated magna cum laude from St. Cloud Apollo High School in 1972. Marsha received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at St. Cloud State University in 1976 and completed her Master of Arts degree in Biology at the University of Idaho, Moscow, in 1978. After working for natural resource agencies in Colorado and Minnesota, she joined the research staff of the Northern Prairie Wildlife Research Center, U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Jamestown, North Dakota in 1983, where she currently is employed as a wildlife research biologist. Marsha completed her Doctor of Philosophy degree in Zoology at North Dakota State University, Fargo in 1993. Marsha’s research interests include mammalian predators of grassland nesting birds, canid behavior, ecology and population biology of swift foxes and channel island foxes, and biology and population dynamics of American white pelicans and other grassland birds. Marsha married Ray Greenwood in Jamestown, North Dakota on August 30, 1997. |
