"Louis G. Balder, 59, living at 519 10th Street northeast, Minot N.D., died July 7 after an illness of six months.
"The funeral was held Saturday at the Thomas Funeral chapel in Minot with Rev. C. Gerald Lygre, assisting pastor of the First Luthern church officating and burial made in Rosehill cemetery.
"Mr. Balder had been a resident of Minot for the last 34 years. He was employed as a machinist's helper by the Great Northern railroad for the last 28 years.
"He was born August 30, 1882, at St. Cloud, where he lived until he moved to Minot. Survivors include Mrs. Balder and five children: Edward, Superior, Wis., Mrs. Luella Fedje, Mrs. W. Thomas and Earl Balder of Minot and Corp. Robert Balder, Fort Lewis, Wash., and seven grandchildren.
"Relatives present for the funeral included Robert from Fort Lewis in Washington, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Balder and son William from Superior, Wis., and Mrs. Ben Albright from St. Cloud."
