In the April 22, 1930 census, Frances was 38 years old and living with her husband Joe and nine children on their own farm in Palmer township. The family did not own a radio. Frances said she was married when she was 23 and Joe was 28 years old. She stated that she was born in Minnesota and both her parents were born in Germany. The seven eldest children were all attending school. |
