Notes: Bernard was born on December 15, 1912 in Fromberg, Montana and attended school there.
 
At the time of the Apr. 5, 1930 U.S. Census, Bernard was 14 years old and living with his 36-year-old father Reuben in a house they rented for $5/month in District 31 of Fromberg, Carbon, Montana. They did not own a radio. Bernard was attending school and his father was working as a laborer at odd jobs. His father first married when he was 21 years old. Bernard's mother and sister were living separately from him and his father in District 30 of Fromberg.
 
He worked as a cook in Laurel, Livingston and Billings, Montana, and operated a night club at Livingston.
 
Bernard moved to Searchlight, Nevada. He died of emphysema at Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada at 2 P.M. on June 13, 1970. He was 54 years old.
