During that time she attended a girls' military school in Guayaquil, Ecuador and kept a journal of
her experiences. In 2008 she took part in a church mission trip to a hospital in Nicaragua.
Mélanie graduated high school with high honors, national recognition in French Society, National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, and Scholars Society. She attended University of Florida in fall 2009. Mel graduated from the University of Florida in May 2014 with her Bachelor of Science in Recreation and Leisure studies. Mel will continue towards her goal to become a nurse taking the requisite courses in the year ahead. She is an ardent U of F Gator fan like most folks in Gainesvile. Her mom Kaydie is very proud of her. In early 2016 Mélanie was in her second year of studies towards a nursing degree. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree in August 2016 from the University of Florida College of Nursing. After passing the board exam she'll start work at UF Shands Hospital. |
