Sunday morning, Oct. 4, 1919, a Ford touring car overturned opposite the Stimmler home, throwing out the occupants and
severely injuring a child, who was taken to Dr. Gumper in Becker for treatment. They were westbound passengers and no one learned
their names [The Clear Lake Times, 9 Oct 1919, p. 5, col. 2]. At the time of the April 2, 1930 census, Lloyd was 25 years old, single and a roomer in the Center St., Clear Lake township residence of Katherine M. Carlin, a 60-year-old widow. Also rooming there was Marie I. Donney, a 22-year-old single teacher in the public school. Lloyd was working as a truck driver hauling stock. He stated that he was born in Minnesota as were both his parents. The residence had a radio [1930 U.S. Census, Clearlake, Sherburne, Minnesota, Roll T626-1129 p. 1A, E.D. 7]. |
