 Following college, Linda worked briefly in retail and as a youth counselor. She went to USAF Officer Training School in 1979 where she met her husband, Clay. They were married in 1981. She served four years in the Air Force. She has devoted the last 16 years to being a stay-at-hom Mom and volunteering in Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, PTA and classroom activities, and church activities. She has also worked part time as a substitute teacher for a local school district since 1996. Linda and her family live in Riverside, California.
