Michigan. His father was working as a farmer and Laurentio was a laborer.
At the time Aug. 14, 1860 U.S. federal census, Laurentio was 29 years old and living with his 23-year-old wife Henrietta, their two sons Lucius (age 5) and John (age 3), Phillip Oldwell (born in Ireland, age 20), Jemima Dawson (age 59) and Elvina Blackner (age 12) on a farm valued at $700 in Wabash, Clark, Illinois. He was working as a farmer and his personal estate was valued at $800. At the time of the Aug. 2, 1870 U.S. federal census, L. G. Hunt was 39 years old and living with his 32-year-old wife H. C. and their two young sons Thaddeus (age 4) and Fred (age 3) in Antwerp Township, Van Buren, Michigan. L. G. was working as a clerk in a store and the value of his personal effects was $200. At the time of the June 15, 1880 U.S. federal census, Laurentio G. was 49 years old and living with his 43-year-old wife Henrietta C. and their four children ranging in age from 6 to 14 years old in Lansing, Ingham, Michigan. As they were running a boarding house, living with them was a 19-year-old single servant, Katie C. Farrell, and three clerks ranging in age from 24 to 43 years old who worked at the Auditor General's offices. At the time of the May 28, 1885 Minnesota State census, Laurentio G. was 54 years old and living with his 47-year-old wife Henrietta C. and their four children ranging in age from 11 to 18 years old in Haven, Sherburne, Minnesota. At the time of the June 5, 1900 U.S. census, Laurentio G. was 69 years old and living in District 0130 of Antwerp, Van Buren, Michigan. He and his wife had been married for 46 years. On Jan. 12, 1919 Laurentio died of acute indigestion aggravated by arteriosclerosis in Mattawan, Antwerp, Van Buren, Michigan, the township where he had lived for approximately 75 years. He was 88 years old. |
