Notes: Jonathan's mother died a scant two weeks before his second birthday. His father remarried 2-1/2 years later.
  After his father's death in 1891 two weeks before Jonathan's twelfth birthday, he went to live in Aurora, Kane, Illinois.

At the time of the June 14, 1900 U.S. Federal census, Jonathan W. was 21 years old and living with his 37-year-old cousin Lucius D. Woodman and Lucius's 33-year-old wife Fannie P. who had been maried 13 years and had no children in a rented home in Little Rock Township, Kendall, Illinois. Jonathan was working as a bookkeeper and Lucius as a superintendent.

In the Aurora City Directory for 1905 Jonathan is listed as being a salesman for Pictoral Packaging Company living at 275 W. Park Ave. with his wife, June.

At the time of the Apr. 26, 1910 U.S. Federal census, John W. was 31 years old and living with his 28-year-old wife June T. in a rented house at 320 Galena Blvd. in Aurora Ward 2, Kane, Illinois. They had been married for 8 years and had no children. He was working as a printing superintendent at Pictorial Printing Co.

On Sept. 18, 1918 at the time of the World War I Draft Registration, John Woodman Hunt was 39 years old and living at 320 Galena Blvd. in Aurora, Kane, Illinois with his wife, June Trenary Hunt. He was working as the manager of Pictorial Printing Co. and described himself as being short with a slender build and having brown eyes and brown hair.

At the time of the Jan. 8, 1920 U.S. Federal census, John W. was 41 years old and living with his 38-year-old wife June, their 7-year-old son Richard, and 19-year-old single maid Catherine Jungels in their own home owned free and clear at 320 Galena Blvd. in Aurora Ward 2, Kane, Illinois. John was employed in printing supplies manufacturing.

In the Aurora City Directory for 1923 Jonathan is listed as being Vice President of Pictorial Paper Package Corp. and living at 320 Galena Blvd. with his wife, June.

At the time of the Apr. 15, 1930 U.S. Federal census, John W. was 51 years old and living with his 47-year-old wife June, their 18-year-old son Richard, and lodgers/servants Louis Kish (age 38) and Laura Kish (age 35) from Romania on their own farm valued at $45,000 in Bristol, Kendall, Illinois. The family owned a radio. They told the census enumerator that they were married when John was 22 and June was 19 years old. Son Richard was attending school. John was working as a manufacturer of printing and paper boxes.

In 1942 at the time of World War II Draft Registration, Jonathan Woodman Hunt was 63 years old and living with his wife June in Bristol Twsp., Kendall, Illinois, although their mailing address was in Oswego. His employer was Pictorial Paper Package Corp. located at 232 S. Lake St. in Aurora, Kane, Illinois.
