Duelm, Benton Co. MN, June 19, 1885

Dear Franziska L. and Wa.

I herewith send you the promissory note of A.  Huehlenbeimer in case he should sell his (Kolonat) property under the table which he would like to do to collect the money before he comes the second time (unreadable) to America. You could inform yourself about this through H. Schmitz.
I loaned him 140 M, the rest Clemens loaned him. Should he want to pay you without fuss, 165 M would suffice. Should he not move to America where (unreadable), then this case will have time until I get there.
It is best, however, that you tell him that I sent you the I.O.U. which would be due to be paid withinh ten (10) days. Theodor (a?) Hesker sent her promissory note to attorney Schlueter so that he may collect the money to sent to her in America. Dear Franziska, two weeks from now, I shall begin my return voyage and embark the ship July 8th and then be with you (all) again approximately around the 19th or the 20th.
I'll end my letter and hope that it finds you in the same good health as it leaves me. More in person.

With very best regards to all, Fr. Diekaemper

Greetings from Clemens and wife
