A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 7, 2005 at St. Anthony's
Catholic Church in St. Cloud for Helen M. Hengel, age 71 of St. Cloud who
died Wednesday, October 05, 2005 at the St. Cloud Hospital. Reverend Timothy Wenzel
will officiate.
Friends may call between 4:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. Thursday (TODAY) at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud and after 9:00 a.m. on Friday at the church. Parish prayers will be at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Helen was born on June 19, 1934 in Foley, Minnesota to Alvin and Alma (Stimler) Hamer. She married Virgil J. Hengel on June 17, 1952 at St. Mary's Cathedral in St. Cloud. Helen lived all of her married life in St. Cloud. She was a member of St. Anthony's Parish. Helen was an avid quilter, seamstress, and crafter. She also enjoyed hunting, golfing, bowling, and traveling. Helen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be deeply missed. She also had enough love for 32 foster babies. Helen is survived by her husband Virgil of St. Cloud; children; Linda Williams (Roosevelt) of White Bear Lake, Mary Bauer (Joseph) of St. Cloud, Mike Hengel (Barb) of St. Cloud, Karen Raschick (Matthew) of White Bear Lake, Patricia Schrapp (Kenneth) of St. Louis Park, Toni Thole (Doug) of Brooklyn Park; eight grandchildren; one great granddaughter; and sister, Marge Randall (John) of Warsaw, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant brother. Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers. |
