 Harold Kampa, age 77, of Foley, died Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at his home. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday, July 3, 2015 at First Presbyterian Church in Foley. The Rev. Allen Jergenson will officiate. Friends may call from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday at the Foley Funeral Home and 1 hour prior to services at the church Friday. Service with Dignity provided by Foley Funeral Home.
Harold John Kampa was born February 5, 1938 in Foley to Peter R. and Anna (Gorecki) Kampa. He married Joanne Rausch in 1963 and the couple was blessed with five children. Harold farmed most of his life. After he sold his dairy cows, he worked at NGS in Elk River for about 10 years. He will be remembered as a man who could fix anything and helped everyone. In 1992, he was united in marriage with Nancy Anderson Prew. Harold enjoyed hunting, traveling, church mission trips, animals, and working on the farm.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy of Foley; children: Pam Brenny (Arnie Imholte) of St. Cloud, Julie Greene of Stillwater, Steve Kampa (Kurt Herke) of St. Paul, Matt Kampa of Foley, Gary (JoDee) Kampa of Foley and Kevin Prew of Foley; grandchildren: Amanda (Jon) Tack, Taylor Brenny, Sarah Imholte, Alex Wager, Emilie Greene and Abbie Greene; great-grandchildren: Michael Tack and Kira Tack; sisters: Mary Ann (Lloyd) Lenarz of Andover, Judy Chmielewski of Minneapolis, Doris Knettel of Burnsville, and Karen (Bob) Shambaugh of Norman, OK. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Joan Peterson.
