At the time of the 1880 federal census, Edmund was 4 years old and
living with his parents, five siblings and two stepbrothers in Lyons,
Ionia County, Michigan. His father Jacob was working as a farmer
(age 10). His father stated that Edmund was born in Michigan, as
were all his siblings and both stepbrothers. [Source: NA Film No. T9-0584,
p. 183C].
On April 18, 1910 Edmund was 35 years old and living with his wife Alice and their three children between the ages of 6 years and 3 months old in Kalamazoo, Kalamazoo, Michigan. He was working as a cutter in a factory. He and Alice had been married for seven years. They were the parents of three children, all of whom were still living. On Sept. 12, 1918, Edmund was 43 years old with brown eyes and dark hair, and living with his wife Alice and their family at 1215 Log Blvd. in Kalamazoo, Michigan. He was working as a clothing cutter at Henderson Ames Company. On April 11, 1930, Edmund was living with his wife Alice E. and their six children Josephine A., Hubert F., Genevieve M., Paul V., Francis A. and Winnifred A. at 300 E. Hewitt Ave., Marquette, Marquette, Michigan, rented for $60 a month. Edmund was working as a supervisor in a clothing factory. The family did not own a radio. |
