His father was a farmer engaged in general farming, and Alois' three elder brothers were all laborers on the home farm. Aloy was a 33-year-old single farm hand on a farm lodging with the Leo Bromenschenkel family of eight in Minden, Benton, Minnesota on Apr. 16, 1940 at the time of the U.S. federal census. He had been living in rural Benton County, Minnesota as of Apr. 1, 1935. He worked 84 hours a week. Aloysius died Dec. 18, 1969 in Excelsior, Hennepin, Minnesota. He was 64 years old. |
