Rapids for James C. "Tuffy" Kampa, age 71, who died peacefully Tuesday at the St. Cloud VA Medical Center.
Rev. Richard McGuire will officiate and burial will be Monday at Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery near Little
Falls. Friends and relatives may call from 4-8 p.m. Friday and after 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Williams Dingmann
Family Funeral Home, Sauk Rapids. St. Cloud East Side VFW Post 4847 will pray at 6:00 p.m., followed by Sauk
Rapids American Legion Post 254 at 6:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home in Sauk Rapids.
James C. "Tuffy" Kampa was born Feb. 29, 1940 in Duelm to Eugene & Mabel (Dziuk) Kampa. He served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1958-1960. Tuffy was in the automobile sales business for over 35 years. He also owned Sportsman Bar in St. Cloud in the 1970s. Tuffy was a member of Sauk Rapids American Legion Post 254 and St. Cloud East Side VFW Post 4847. He enjoyed barbequing, golfing, and spending time with his friends and family. Survivors include his sons, Karl of Sauk Rapids and Kevin (Andrea) of St. Paul; mother, Mabel of St. Cloud; brothers and sisters, Richard (Mae) of Cold Spring, Judy of Cottonwood, AZ, Steve (Linda) of St. Cloud, Debbie (Ron) Kuehl of Walnut Grove, Paul (Mary) of St. Cloud and Brenda of Denver, CO; grandchildren, Benjamin, Bailey and Brady; lifelong friend, Judy Repulski of Sauk Rapids; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and ex-wife, Judy (Schmidt) Romstad. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred. -- Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home |
