At the time of the April 14, 1930 federal census, Catherine was 65 years old and living with her sister Annie in their own home valued at $4,000 and located at 419 Monastery Avenue (Dist. 593), Philadelphia, Philadelphia, PA. Her sister was working as a practical nurse in the nursing field [Source: 1930 Federal Census, NA Film No. T626-2103, p. 10A].

Kate was under the care of Dr. Joseph D. Lehman when she died at home of chronic myocarditis and arteriosclerosis at 8 AM on Apr. 25, 1937. She was 69 years old.
