Panhandle Pizza While Panhandle
Pizza is without question the smallest establishment on our list of best bets,
it turns out pizzas with a cornmeal crust that is among the best found
anywhere outside my own kitchen. "Cornmeal?" you may ask. That's right.
Not everyone is fortunate to have a wood-fired oven, but a bit of cornmeal in
pizza dough gives it both texture and depth of flavor, and Panhandle does it
well. Add a pizza sauce with a nice bite and three flavorful cheeses, and
your Inner Richmond trip is easily justified.
