Kenneth Joos(January 19, 1930 - May 12, 2007)Kenneth Joos, 77 of Bella Vista, Arkansas died on Saturday, May 12, 2007 at Highlands Heath Care in Bella Vista, Arkansas. He was born on January 19, 1930 in Bismarck, North Dakota to Raymond A. Joos & Inez (Greenwood) Joos.He was raised & educated in Fargo, North Dakota. Ken married Gloria A. Larson on February 18, 1950 in Fargo, North Dakota. He was employed as a manager for Northwestern Bell Telephone throughout the Midwest for over 38 years. He retired in 1986 and moved to Bella Vista, Arkansas, where he was very active in his church & his community. He was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Richard Joos and three grandchildren, Kory Sierp, Adam Randles and Samantha Joos. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Gloria A Joos of Bella Vista, Arkansas; three sons, Kenneth Lee Joos & his wife Rita of Huntington, West Virginia, David W. Joos & his wife Laurie of Okemos, Michigan, Timothy Alan Joos & his wife Deborah of St. Charles, Illinois; two daughters, Kathryn A. Sierp & her husband Kenneth of York, Nebraska, Diane M. Randles & her husband John of Germantown, Tennessee; one sister Gayle Brennicke of Sacramento, California; eleven grandchildren & five great grandchildren. Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Thursday, May 17, 2007 at 9:00 a.m. in the St. Bernard Catholic Church, #1 St. Bernard Lane, with the Rev. Father Andy Smith officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 16, 2007 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. with a Rosary Service at 7:00 p.m. in the Bella Vista Funeral Home & Crematory, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Northwest Arkansas Children’s Shelter, 7702 S.W. Regional Airport Blvd., Bentonville, AR 72712 or to the Bella Vista Public Library, # 11 Dickens Place, Bella Vista, AR 72714. |
