Crestwood Cemetery. Visitation Friday 2 until 9 p.m. And Saturday 11 a.m. Until 1 p.m. Betty was
born March 2, 1924 in Flint and was a 1942 graduate from Northern High School. She briefly worked
at AC in Flint and was also a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Burton. Beloved wife of
Leon for 61 years. They were married January 10, 1948. Dear mother of Ronald (Sally), Dennis
(Barbara), Alan (Kris), Robert (Cindy) and Cynthia (Randy) Childers. Loving grandmother of 27,
great grandmother of 32 and great-great grandmother of one. Also survived by many loving nieces,
nephews, family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Dora Avery and
sisters, Ruth Avery and Imogene (Richard) Stanley.
