At the time of the April 15, 1930 federal census, Mildred E. was
7 years old and living with her parents and eight siblings at
67 Spring Street, Rockville, Tolland, Connecticut. Her father was
working as a machinist in a woolen mill.
Later in life Milly lived 9 Chestnut Street in Vernon Rockville, Tolland, Connecticut. All three of Milly's children predeceased her. Her eldest son died when he lost control of the car he was driving and hit a tree in a rural area. Her younger son and his wife were having marital difficulties and were sitting and talking in their van. Somehow the vehicle's exhaust became obstructed in a snowbank and they died of carbon monoxide poisoning. Her daughter succumbed to breast cancer. |
